Message from the President - Singapore Chefs’ Association
To the Corporate partners, fellow members and friends, Happy Lunar New Year Of The Rat!
This year would be a busy year for the association with a few collaborations that we are going to have with various corporate partners as well as to further encourage our members to think about continuous improvements through skills future and it’s programs in place.
A newly set up committee with a slight change in portfolio will take shape and drive success at a faster pace to ensure SCA grows from strength to strength.
It is my pleasure and honour to announce that we have officially on board as the association’s honorary patron – Senior Minister of State, Ministry Of Trade and Industry, Ministry Of Education - Mr Chee Hong Tat. This is the first time in the 35 years of history that we have a minister to come on board as honorary patron!
In Mr Chee’s capacity as patron, he will consult on how the association can engage with the various government agencies to play an integral role of raising the chef’s profession as well as the food and beverage industry in Singapore.
Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank every committee member and their sub com for their commitment. They have taken time off their busy schedules and sacrificed many of their precious little balanced personal hours, just to help out at the association – growing the brand of local chefs and nurturing the next generation of chefs for our nation.
As we start the year 2020, we look forward to grow and progress together with our partners.
