Message from the President - Restaurant Association of Singapore



The Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS) is the main representative body for the food and beverage (F&B) industry in Singapore. Our members comprise a good mix of business models such as restaurants, caterers, fast foods and food courts, with various cuisine types, thus providing a whole range of views and opinions, with the common goal to propel the industry forward.

Since 1980, RAS has acted as a collective voice for the F&B industry and strived to advance the industry through various events and platforms. The annual Star Chef Competition provides a platform for Singapore’s finest as well as upcoming chefs to showcase new and exciting dish creations and to give recognition to them. The RAS Epicurean Star Award, also held annually, honours the top-of-the-class F&B concepts that have tabled innovative dishes and delivered consistent stellar food and service. Other than these high-key industry events, RAS also regularly organises networking events involving key relevant government agencies with members to discuss current and future issues as well as to drive improvements for the betterment of the industry.

Through our commitment to advance the F&B industry, RAS is driven to continuously enhance the quality of our events and programmes to better serve our members. At RAS, we are focused on our mission to promote industry development and excellence through championing, promoting and advancing the common needs, interests and aspirations of Singapore’s F&B community.
